Cllr Philip Weston
I am proud to say that I have always lived in Hartwell, much like all the Weston’s before me, when we first started farming at Hartwell Park Farm in 1820.
Hartwell School has not only played an important part in my education but also most of my family, and I am now proud to say that my children attend both the pre school and primary school, which seem to be continuing with a great reputation .
Other than being a farmer first and foremost, my college and university education took me in a different direction and to this day I still work as an Architectural Technologist, producing designs for a large array of different projects in between farming work.
When I am not working, I’ll be working my dogs picking up on shoots or attending shoots or tinkering with vintage tractors, machinery or buildings.
When a position became available as a Parish Councillor a few people thought I should put my name forward and given that we’ve been part of the village for so long, I felt now was the time to try and continue to help Hartwell prosper and remain a pleasant place to live.
